and a little history regarding my self: i became inactive and lost completely contact of the wt changes and "new light" 17 years ago.. everything seemed so odd and strange during the meeting.
latest technology, animated movies, watchtower web tv, a website that you can download everything, including km and wt study articles.

i am a non-participating christian who is fully respectful of but never had anything to do with jw.. i have a jw friend who seems to closely follow his jw belief's.
i have met most of his family and friends who all are also jw's.
he says i am his only non-jw good friend.. he is getting married this year to his long time gf and with our recent growing more guarded and distant friendship, i am wondering what is going on?.
I was married in a K.H. with non-Witness friends attending. My best man was a non-Witness. Elders don't ask if there will be "worldly" people at the wedding, so there's no problem there.
However, in your case, your friendship will be scrutinized by the elders to establish if you are "studying" with your J.W. friend. If not, the friendship will be "advised" to be terminated. I suspect his wife-to-be is/will look down on your friendship.
Pressure will now be applied to your friend. Sad.

20 years jw, elder for 6 years, regular pioneer for 3 years, have always been following the 2012 candace conti abuse case with much interest, especially since the case suddenly disappeared from www.watchtower.com's news section (thanks brother j. r. brown, office of public information, because it led me to "worldly" websites for more info), leading to more and more dissatisfaction , leading to jwfacts, jwsurvey, ad1914, wtdocuments etc., leading to my awakening about 4 months ago, now fading faster and faster to zero meetings and zero field service...and you know what?
it feels good!.

hello, this is my first post, i would like to introduce myself and say thank you to every one on this forum, you have been a lifeline to me these last few years.. i had been a jw for 30 years when i walked away a few years ago disgusted by the treatment victims of child abuse, domestic abuse and rape receive from the wtbts.. at first i thought it was a local problem, elders personal opinions, the way they handled the situations, imperfect men etc., until i checked out jehovahs witnesses and child abuse/domestic abuse online.
that's when i realized they had the same modus operandi worldwide.
that led me here, tbuo this forum, and then to crisis of conscience, jw facts, watchtower documents, jw survey, old watchtower literature and cd s, reading a couple of steve hassans books, and more recently exiting the jw cult.. the feelings of shock, betrayal, anger at the wtbts, angry with myself for being so gullible, depression, reflection, loneliness, have taken their toll.
so i haven't been to a midweek meeting in some time.... but i must attend this first clam (not to be confused with 'klan') meeting.

want to take a look for curiosity sake then go back to never attending another midweek meeting again.

When the Corporation's "maximising of auditorium capacity" gets into full swing, (the self-proclaimed "Master Plan") just sit back and watch the average J.W.'s reaction to their K.H. being sold off, and having to travel to a more distant location to worship the Magnificent 7 on the big screens.

The paedophilia lawsuits are going to seriously damage the CORPORATION's finances in two ways:
1) all of the legal and reparation costs involved in defending/settling claims, and 2) J.W.'s reducing/ceasing their contributions, due to their realising the purpose of Brooklyn's constant begging for cash.
The contraction of the Corporation will continue unabated.
the majority of members who tend to join this forum have been hurt possibly even traumatized sometimes to the point of wanting to end their lives.
upon joining the forum, new members are welcomed with open arms, welcome messages start pouring in, "likes" are freely given, a false sense of security is promoted where a member is free to speak his mind without having to worry about the wt gestapo.
again, similar to how potential converts are welcomed and "love bombed" upon entering a kh for the first time.
Many ex or present J.W.'s come here looking for some kind of encouragement, comfort, reassurance that they're not alone in the world, having abandoned the CORPORATION, so intolerance and ridicule of their sincere Bible beliefs may give them the feeling of having jumped from the frying pan into the fire.
Vitriol will never encourage an open and respectful discussion, and will only add to a person's cult-induced traumas.

's, (which replaces the kingdom ministry) see if you can find every reference to the name of jesus and the motive for using it!
yup, the corporation is certainly living up to and promoting the name of jesus christ, and "proving" to the world that they are indeed a christian religion - not!.
